Havana
Glen, a half mile south of the Village of Montour Falls,
NY, off Route 14, is one of the most beautiful natural glens
in the entire Finger Lakes Region.
-
The
Glen, taking its name from the original name of the village,
Havana, extends over 40 acres of native wooded area. Still
retaining much of its natural state, its scenic streams
make it one of nature's most beautiful spots in the southern
Finger Lakes area.
-
Havana
Glen Park and Campground is a private campground that has
all the modern amenities that you would expect.
-
There
are hot showers, flush toilets, etc. as well as generally
some hiking and/or biking trails, should you be so inclined.
-
Havana
Glen Park is also the home of the beautiful Eagle Cliff
Falls which is 41 feet high and has a 20 foot wide crest.
-
The
short hike up the trail to the main Eagle Cliff Falls is
beautiful and
passes several other smaller
falls on the way.

GENERAL
NEEDED INFO: |
-
Everyone
is responsible for their own gear such as: Tent, sleeping
bags, mess kits, utensils and chairs.
-
We'll coordinate
the dishpan(s) centrally; however, if you've got a lantern/stove/tarp/pavilion/screen
room AND room to pack it, throw it in. Seems
ya' just can't have too many lanterns (Flashlights) as there
are usually quite a few who arrive late.
-
We can use
some more stoves and coffee pots, and boy do those rain
tarps and pop-ups come in handy too.
-
Also, please
bring vinyl tablecloths and soft-sided coolers.
-
Bring your own beverages
of choice that you would like to enjoy and perhaps share
during the weekend (see Friday Night Tasting above).
-
Breakfast beverages are planned
for, and of course there will be wine, but bring anything
else you want to personally consume.
-
Remember...this is a weekend
commune, share and share alike.
